I'm a shipper. What can I say?
Inspired by
The Kiss by Mirabilia.
Had to fix a few mistakes when tracing it in Adobe Photoshop. Trent has 3 rings not 4. His wristband is only on his left, none on his right.
Lengthened the legs.

Inspired by Ranger Thorne's (aka Fezenclop) fanfic Daria's Web.
I'm not good about drawing things from my head, so I usually look for something I can model after. This sketch was drawn based off a picture of
Spider-Woman.
Sketched out using a mechanical pencil. Outline drawn over with Black ball-point pen and some highlights. Used a Red ball-point pen for the red parts of the suit.

This is my first fan art. Dress design was taken from
Vogue Pattern - V2922, so I wasn't that original. It just looked like something an adult Daria would wear. I sketched her out on standard Letter printer paper using a mechanical pencil. Not exactly ideal. When I was somewhat satisfied, I placed another paper on top of it and traced it out again, with some slight modifications. The original sheet was not faring so well after numerous mistakes and erases.

Next, I scanned my pencil sketch in. Here's where the experimentation begins. I had never used Adobe Photoshop before but thought this would be a good time to learn. Discovered the joy of layers and proceeded to create a new layer, where I painstakingly traced my sketch using the Pencil Tool (5 px) and using a TouchPad. After getting her head and collar done, I looked at it and decided it looked too jagged on the edges. I whined about this to my husband, who told me about Feathering and Anti-Aliasing (he uses Gimp -- more for the understanding of the cool technology than any artwork). Being impatient, I didn't actually spend too much time trying to understand it, other than to switch to using the Soft Brush Tool.

Once again, I created a new layer, and started the tracing all over again. I must be masochistic. After I completed the head, I tried filling in the hat with color. Hmm..., it didn't quite do what I wanted. Aarghh. Since It was a soft brush when I filled it in, now I had grey edges. Oops.

New layer! This time, I traced using the Pencil Tool (1 px, Cyan) and then filled that. Moved it below my B/W Soft Brush layer and Voila, I had what I wanted.

I'm guessing that there are probably easier and nicer ways of doing what I did. Ah well, live and learn.
